Secret Clinical Strength Deodorant

I just recently bought the new Secret Clinical Strength Deodorant since it claimed that it would keep me dry.  I am a high moisture person, and I tend to sweat a lot.  I loved the idea of not worrying about wetness throughout the entire day.

The deodorant cost almost $8 at Wal-Mart, and after I read the instructions it made me a little nervous about using it.  The brochure explained that it created a layer over your skin, which was basically plugging it from sweating.  Now I know sweating is a natural thing and it detoxifies our bodies, so I don’t want to make the use of this deodorant an everyday happening.

On days when I need it, like during an interview or maybe for a formal get together I will use the Secret Clinical Strength Deodorant because it works!  I tested it on a day that I went running, and no sweat in my armpits!  That’s amazing!

This is not a paid post.  I just really like the product. :)

I started using Secret Clinical Strength after my son was born. I couldn’t find a deodorant that worked after I started nursing. And there’s nothing more gross than trying to nurse your baby with your pits pouring. I’m not sure if it’s just me or that’s the way the hormones work for everybody, but I am glad I found it!

Love the stuff, but it is pricey. I use it in the warm weather and during the winter I use cheaper deodorant.

Very good to know! I too am a high moisture person, and it can get embarrassing in the summer months. I usually have to wear things without sleeves to adapt.

Superchick ~ I’m glad it works for you too. I can only imagine how you would want to be dry when you have a baby cuddled in and nursing.
Thanks for stopping by my blog and sharing!

Sarah ~ It is pricey, but I’ll pay the price if it works so well. I’m glad others have found that it works for them too.
    Thanks for the comment! :)

Ames ~ I was exactly like you and resorted to tank tops all summer long so I wouldn’t sweat through my tees. Give this a try. I really don’t think you’ll be sorry. Thanks for dropping by my blog.

  7. This is so good to know, thanks! I was afraid to spend that much $ on deodorant if it didn’t work. I’ll have to pick some up for this summer.

  8. I have been wanting to try this but wasn’t sure if it actually worked. I agree with you. I would definitely use it for special occasions only. I find Dove to be a good everyday deoderant. And I’m a sweater too.

Bits and Pieces ~ I would highly recommend it.. even if it’s a little on the pricey side. You’ll have to let me know what you think if you buy it.

Jen ~ I hope it works for you if you choose to buy it. I think it’s great, and I’m quite the sweater.
    Thanks for stopping by!

Good to know! :) I’m another one who usually resorts to sleeveless shirts!
And a side note in regards to Superchikk – yes- it’s true- after pregnancy, your body seems to flush out all those extra hormones through sweat! I couldn’t believe what was happening, until a friend (a mom of 2) told me it was normal. :)

  12. This is good to know, I always wondered if that stuff worked.

  13. Jennifer says:

Michele ~ I never realized that your body would sweat more after pregnancy. I’m going to be a waterfall then. :P

  14. Jennifer says:

Toni ~ I know $7-8 is a lot to pay on something that may not work, but I am pretty sure there was a guarantee with it so if it didn’t work you could get your money back. And I totally would’ve used that if it didn’t work for me. :D

well i need to know…does it REALLY work….cuz i like am really hesitent when it comes to shirts with sleeves and ususally resort to none…or dark shirts. so im not about to go spend 8 bucks on stuff that doesnt work cuz ive tried mitchum since my aunt told me it worked but idk if im just that sweasty or it doesnt work….my sweating is embarrassing so im ready to b doen with it!!! haha, can u help me??:) THANX

  16. Jennifer says:

Simone ~ All I can say is that it worked for me and I am quite the sweater. I sweat through almost every shirt I put on. The deodorant recommends that you wear it to bed at night so it can create a plug (or a layer) so the sweat can’t get through. I didn’t do that though. I just put it on after my shower in the morning and it still worked. Like I said, I even went for a 2 mile run with it on and I didn’t sweat through my t-shirt. I highly recommend it.

  17. simone says:

omg thanx, but my dad says having a layer over sumthing thats supposed to happen isnt good….so is it safe??haha:) i dont wanna possibly hurt my body evn if its 4 my benifit…

  18. Jennifer says:

Simone ~ I don’t know how healthy it is.. that is why I am only going to wear it on special occasions. Secret claims it’s healthy because you will sweat it out elsewhere, but I’m not sure.

  19. simone says:

all right okey doke thanx a bunch, now all i gotta do is beg my mum to let me get an 8 buck deo. hahaha….thanx 4 the info…u helped a ton:)

Hello, just came across this blog while Googling “secret clinical strength” because I have had success with it and was just wondering about other’s…

I saw on Secret’s website that if you purchase 4 clinical strength deodorants and send in the receipts, they send you 1 for free!

I thought that was rather nice of them :)
