A day in a list

The simple fact is – I love lists!  When I was in college, if I didn’t make a list for the day I really didn’t know if I was coming or going because I had so much to do.  Now my lists are much shorter and usually just consist of a work time in my planner or what bills to send out for the day.  Well, except when I have company coming and I’ve been too tired to clean my house to perfection.

We are having friends over to grill tonight – steaks, corn on the cob, potatoes, and then whatever other sides we can manage to put together.  I believe James is making cinnamon rolls for dessert which I’ll probably serve with milk and tea.  We may also watch a movie from Netflix together – The Other Boleyn Girl.

So my to do list for the day looks like this:

  • Tidy up bathroom and scrub toilet – Check
  • Take out trash and recycling – Check
  • Vacuum – Check
  • Do one load of laundry – Check
  • Sweep and mop kitchen floors – Check
  • Take meat out of freezer – Check
  • Work 1:30-3:30 – Check
  • Prepare the food/cook – Check
  • Enjoy the evening! – Check

I love lists too! Did you get a chance to watch the movie? My husband and I considered renting it tonight and decided not to. If you did, what did you think?

I hope you have a great weekend!

  2. Hope you had a fun day! :) I love lists, too. However, I have a tendency to lose them. Gen just adores throwing away “trash”- usually after tearing it into tiny pieces! :)

    Blessings,
    Michele

Michele – That’s too cute about Gen. :) I have a whiteboard on my fridge that I could use for lists too.. and little hands can’t reach there.

Jenny – We watched Chaos Theory instead that night. I still haven’t gotten to The Other Boleyn Girl. When we do, I’ll be sure to share.
