This year, people are out of town and for perhaps the first time in my life, we're not having our party. I'm actually relieved. I've been wanting an entire weekend at home for a long time now, and this can now be my weekend to just nest at home with Jeff, with nowhere to go and no schedules to keep. I am very much looking forward to it. Our family usually has a big Fourth of July party, with all the aunts, uncles, cousins, in-laws, and kids, as it also coincides with my Aunt Judy’s birthday (and was also my late Great Aunt Re’s birthday as well).
