Welcome to my Home Wednesday – Girls Day

Every Monday, my mom, sister, and I get together and we call it “Girls Day.”  It usually consists of errands we need to do such as the post office, the bank, or getting groceries.  Sometimes we do something fun like going to the thrift store or out for a special coffee.  It usually ends with eating lunch out somewhere, which isn’t always bad, but it’s hard to find a place with healthy options or things I will let Val eat.

This week, we just had a potluck lunch together at my house, and we invited a friend since she likes trying new healthy (and even raw foods), but doesn’t get the chance to much at home.  It was such a nice time!  Surrounded by good food and friends.  Now that’s what I call “Girls Day!”

Our menu consisted of: 2 broccoli salads (whoops), fruit salad, raw Thai spring rolls with “peanut” sauce, raw turtle candies, and fresh squeezed lemonade sweetened with agave.

Is your home filled with family and friends this week?

  1. This sounds so nice! I LOVE getting together with friends and will gather up groups of friends on a regular basis for pot lucks, coffee, camping trips, whatever!
