Welcome to my Home Wednesday – Planting a garden

Since our house still isn’t sold, we have decided to move further with our goals as we stay here.  We would like to have a BIG garden when we have our land, so this year we have decided to get a few staple plants that we would definitely plant and “practice” here.  We have planted 3 different types of potatoes, tomatoes and one in a topsy turvy, green peppers, and herbs (parsley, oregano, lavendar, and rosemary).

We have a cute little garden now and a great spot for it in the back yard that gets lots of sunlight.  I get to watch it out the window, and it seems the past few days that I could watch it grow overnight (thank you, rain).

Speaking of gardens, our Farmer’s Market has opened in town.  I went with my mom last week and got local grown and organic kale and chives that I made veggie hummus wraps with and local chocolate mint that I made my own tea with.  Oh yummy!  I can’t wait for Saturday to get more.

What are you growing this year?  Have you visited your Farmer’s Market yet?  What have you cooked/made with your finds?

Happy Wednesday!
