My 2011 Resolutions

{Photo Credit}

I am sure many of you caught my 11 things to let go of in 2011, but I also want to make a list of things I do want in my life in 2011.  I generally don’t like the idea of resolutions at New Years, but I can’t help but love the urge of big ideas to make me a better person.

My Resolutions for 2011:

1.  Food – more diligent about menus, healthy choices, and including more fresh fruits and veggies

2.  Exercise – make time to stay fit and make monthly goals to keep motivated

3.  Planet – take Sustainable Baby Steps to help our family and our Earth – specifically recycling

4.  Technology – turn it off one night a week.

5.  Minimize – Downsize my stuff and streamline my schedule

Be on the look out for more posts about how I will put these into action, my progress, and how you can do it with me.

What are your resolutions?  How will you stay accountable?

    Love your list. Simple and doable. Our new Year was in October, but things were not good then, so I’m going to do a resolution list this year. I really love #3 and #4.

    I feel like I don’t do a lot of these things because I can’t go all out, but that’s just an excuse. I can do little things that will make a difference like adding a veggie to dinner, going for a walk or doing 15 minutes of yoga, or putting cans into a bag for recycling rather than the trash.

    I’m still working on mine. In addition to New Year’s, my 30th birthday is around the corner, which is a big milestone for me to turn things in the right direction. Basically, I just need to sit down, think about, put my wishes into words, and put it all into writing. But off the top of my head, my major goals are: to find a food balance that will lead to a healthier weight, to work out more consistently (regardless if I hit 3-4 workouts every week), to find a job I love, to pay off our debts, to build up our savings, to travel more. The little things so far are to eliminate soda (I “only” drink diet, but it’s just as bad even without the calories), drink more tea throughout the day instead of just at night. But there’s much more. . .

    Good luck, Bec! Will you be sharing these online?

    It’s the little things! :)
