- ::So we realized we are human when we came down with the stomach bug. Yuck! I’ll spare all the details, of course but that’s why I’ve been so quiet. I’m blogging now to the hum of my dishwasher and my washing machine. It means we are on the mend!
- ::An awesome E-book launched today! Have you heard of it? You Don’t Need A Job, You Need Guts! Buy it – Ash will rock your world!
::By this time next week, we should have signed on a great house to rent. I will wait until next week when everything is for sure before divulging anything. I swear I jinx myself if I share too much too early.
- ::We put up our Christmas tree and our decorations this week even among all the craziness. How are you preparing your home for the holidays?

Foody update ~ It has been quite awhile since I have done Meal Plan Monday on a regular basis, but to be honest I have not done well planning meals and sticking to the plan lately. At.All. At least I’m honest, right? We find ourselves before dinner throwing things together or making a quick trip to the grocery store to put together something.
We are in the process of eating more raw foods, more fruits and veggies, and more organic. We are trying to start each day with a smoothie that has omega 3 supplement and wheatgrass powder added. It’s quite the process, and difficult to handle when eating out or eating with family and friends that don’t eat the same. But…we’re trying.
Speaking of food, Baby V will start solids tomorrow to celebrate her 6 month birthday. She has been exclusively breastfed until this point, and I wouldn’t start feeding her foods until I read some books on the issue. My favorite so far is Evie’s Kitchen by Shazzie. It talks about how to raise a raw baby eating only vegan so she talks a lot about supplements and it has TONS of recipes. Recipes for us parents too.
V will not be raised completely raw or vegan, but it has too much information on eating healthy that I couldn’t pass it up!!
Chicken update ~ Remember these babies? Now they are red and big, but not big enough to lay yet. They even have a new coop that James built by himself. How cool is that?!
Job update ~ I’m officially a stay at home mom since my coaching resignation will be approved tonight at the school board meeting.
What’s new with all of you?
Some of you may know a lot more than I do about natural beauty products, but I have to admit somewhere that I sell Mary Kay. I was really struggling with this a few months ago because I had heard there were parabens in their products, and I fully wanted to switch to organic. I stopped using MK, I bought organic facewash, I used organic oils for moisturizers, and I didn’t wear makeup. After a few months, I had the worst acne ever and decided to switch back to my trusted pink bottles. It quickly cleared up and I no longer felt like a 13 year old. I know it probably wasn’t the most wise thing to do, but it’s what I did.
Now I am happy to know that Mary Kay is launching a going green campaign. Thank you to all of the people who asked the company questions – questions about what MK does for the environment and what kinds of things they use in their products. I know this company is good because they are listening. Things don’t change overnight, but things are moving in the right direction now.
I know after seminar in Texas, we will be hearing more about natural products and the fight against those nasty chemicals. Thank you Mary Kay for listening and keep on changing for the better. You’ve won me back!
